What are we taking with us? 🔍

1️⃣ Cooperation is the key:
The European Hydrogen Week showed how important partnerships are in order to exploit synergies in Europe and beyond. With H2Med and H2UB, two central collaborations of our shareholder OGE were represented. Numerous national pavilions, for example from northern Sweden, also demonstrated how strongly regional alliances can advance the H2 sector.

2️⃣ Suppliers are positioning themselves strategically:
More and more suppliers are developing special products for the H2 market and using their existing expertise from previous markets. Whether gas purification filters for cavern storage or new alloys for adsorption storage – a diverse, competitive range of products is emerging here that strengthens the entire value chain.

3️⃣ Building infrastructure:
No liquid, European H2 market can be established without pipelines, ports and other infrastructure elements. The expansion of these hubs is essential in order to efficiently transport hydrogen across national borders and make it available.

4️⃣ Bavaria is international:
Bavaria’s appearance as the only federal state with its own stand was also exciting. Here it became clear how high the ambitions and activities surrounding hydrogen are in Bavaria. International networking and regional initiatives go hand in hand.

Conclusion:
The European Hydrogen Week 2024 has made it clear that hydrogen is increasingly coming into focus as the energy source of the future. Cooperation, strategic suppliers, a robust infrastructure and committed regions such as Bavaria are crucial building blocks for fully exploiting the potential of H2.
