We live sustainability – digitally too! Our new website is hosted by Hetzner, where 100% of our electricity requirements from January 2023 to December 2023 will be covered by hydropower from the Alpine region. This will save us a considerable amount of CO2 compared to the German electricity mix and actively contribute to climate protection.
Although Hetzner is not yet completely climate-neutral, its data centers are among the most energy-efficient in Germany, with an impressive annual reduction of around 77,000 tons of CO2 and an average PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.13. The company is also working hard to obtain EMAS, ISO 50001 or ISO 14001 certification – the certificate will be published once it has been successfully completed.
Another exciting prospect: Hetzner is subject to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and is planning its first sustainability report in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) for the 2025 financial year. So we see: Environmental awareness and high performance go hand in hand for us.
